FAQs

Are the testers real people?

No. They are AI personas with consistent backgrounds, behaviours and priorities designed to simulate different user perspectives.

What does the free test include?

One homepage test with one persona after email verification. Once it is used, membership unlocks repeat testing, the full crew and deeper site coverage.

What happens when I upgrade?

You can map more of your website, choose important pages and journeys, use the whole crew, retest changes and get help from Mike.

Can I choose which pages are tested?

Yes. Unreal UX maps the site, recommends useful pages and lets you approve the pages before a paid crew test starts.

Can it test checkout, signup and other journeys?

Yes. Members can plan journeys with Mike before sending the crew through them. Sensitive payment steps should use safe test or sandbox details.

Can I retest after making changes?

Yes on paid plans. Persistent personas can compare what they see with earlier testing and help identify what improved or still needs work.

What does Mike do?

Mike is the technical website guide. Ask him about your site, crew findings, errors, speed, accessibility, forms, journeys, implementation or what to test next.

Can Mike help me fix a crew finding?

Yes. Members can ask Mike to explain a finding and work through practical changes to the website.

What can Unreal UX actually test?

Unreal UX uses a real browser to experience websites. The Crew can navigate pages, inspect visual layout and images, use links, menus and ordinary controls, review forms, search, products, carts, error and empty states, and follow supported multi-step journeys. Mike plans the smallest useful test around what you actually want a visitor to accomplish.

What about video, audio and unusual interactive features?

We test what can genuinely be observed in the browser. For video and audio that includes whether the player is visible and understandable, whether controls work, whether playback starts or changes state, autoplay behaviour and the surrounding UX. We don't claim to watch, listen to or understand the complete audiovisual content. Maps, calculators, downloads, widgets, bookings and other unusual interactions can often be tested partly or fully depending on how the site works. Mike should tell you the practical scope before a run rather than pretend to verify something he cannot.

What happens if something can't be tested reliably?

Mike should tell you what cannot be substantiated and suggest the closest useful test instead. Unreal UX should not represent an unsupported objective as successfully tested or intentionally spend credits on an objective it cannot meaningfully exercise.

Does testing change my live website?

Normal testing is observational or uses non-destructive interactions. Unreal UX avoids real purchases, destructive actions and irreversible real-world transactions unless an explicit safe test mechanism exists.

Can I download reports?

Yes. Saved completed tests can be kept in My Unreal UX and downloaded as designed PDF reports.

What if I need more credits?

You can add extra credits whenever you need more testing capacity, or change to a plan with a larger monthly credit allowance.

Can agencies test client websites?

Yes. Agency is designed for multiple websites and client workspaces.
